Tim Downer holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification licensed in the State of Nevada and is an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA). He has expertise as a small business advisor and individual and business tax consultant with a focus on new venture creation and business planning. Tim has a BSBA in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He spent a few years serving as the registered financial, operations, options and compliance principal of a boutique broker-dealer. As a partner of Financial Architects he guides small businesses and individuals minimize federal and state tax burdens integrating and planning projected financial goals.

Tim holds multiple professional licenses and designations and passed all four parts of the Uniform CPA exam in the State of Nevada on his first sitting. As a founder of Financial Architects, Mr. Downer is a proponent of using his comprehensive understanding of business to provide clients with long-term tax saving strategies.

Mark has a bachelor’s degree in Finance from BYU and an MBA with an emphasis in Individual Financial Planning from City University. He has also completed post-graduate education at Duke University in Strategic Financial Management. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations, and is an Enrolled Agent (EA). He is a faculty member of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) where he teaches senior level financial courses. In 2007 Vegas Life Magazine named him a 5-Star Wealth Manager.

Mark gained his certificate as a Certified Financial Planner. This qualification is very hard to obtain, because an individual must be able to fulfill every stringent requisite and specification. Mark is constantly up to date with the latest developments in financial planning. This is due to the fact that every CFP certificant must complete a re-certification every two years once they are certified, in order to maintain their qualification.
